IMPORTANT INFORMATION – PLEASE READ

When Lodging an Application …

At the time of lodging your application, two week’s rent is payable on the following terms:-

  • If your application is successful, this money goes towards your first rental payment for the property.
  • Should your application be declined, it is fully refundable to you by a trust account cheque made payable to the person whose name is on the receipt.
  • If your application is approved and then you decide not to proceed, it is non-refundable.

Our office charges rent on a calendar monthly basis. This means that tenants are required to pay one calendar month’s rent (approximately 4.3 weeks’ worth) in advance prior to moving in and monthly in advance thereafter. If the property is a casual let i.e. the owner of the property manages it himself/herself, then rent is charged on a fortnightly basis.

If your application is approved, you will be required to pay four (4) weeks’ rent as bond plus the balance of your first rental payment prior to moving in. This money is to be paid either by bank cheque, money order or personal cheque. Cash is not accepted for this payment.

Please note that leases are prepared in one name only. Additional applicants are listed on the lease as approved occupants.

Our Office does not accept Bond transfers or Bond loans.

If I default under a rental agreement, the Agent may disclose details of any such default to any person whom the Agent reasonably considers has an interest in receiving such information.

  • Please be advised that all applications become the property of Theresa Fitzgerald Property Management and will not be returned to the applicant after submission. Furthermore all written references should be in the form of a photocopy as originals will not be returned.

    PRIVACY ACT

    The personal information the prospective tenant provides in this application or collected from other sources is necessary for the Agent to verify the Applicant's identity and to process and evaluate this application. If the application is successful, personal information collected about the Applicant may be disclosed for the purpose for which it was collected to other parties including to the landlord, referees, other agents and third party operators of tenancy reference databases. Information already held on tenancy reference databases may also be disclosed to the the Agent and/or Landlord.
